School Meals Information
Luton Borough Council, Catering Department have issued a new Menu for the Summer Term - see attached below.
Please note that this menu is a guide but meals can be subject to change at short notice - for example if there is a problem with food deliveries
Reminder from Mrs Ridley:
Tucasi is now the provider for the cashless system used for school meal payments at Putteridge Primary.
Unfortunately, some parents are still topping up their old ALLPAY accounts. Please be aware that any balances on ALLPAY can only be transferred once by school Catering staff. If the account is topped up again this money will be lost.
You have various methods of making payment securely such as:
Online - using a debit card via Tucasi’s internet payment service www.scopay.com
Over the counter - by presenting the barcoded letter at any PayPoint outlet (if you need a copy of your child’s barcoded letter please let us know and we will send one home).
Via mobile device – by visiting the Tucasi website (www.scopay.com) and accessing the special mobile friendly features.
Please follow these instructions if you are experiencing problems with the Tucasi mobile app:
- You will need to browse to the Tucasi website from your mobile device.
- You will then be prompted with the option of using the mobile “web app”, as opposed to the mobile “native app”.
- The difference between the 2 types of apps is that the native app can be downloaded from the app store, whilst the web app is accessed via a web browser on your phone.
KS2 School Meals: Please remember that all meals must be paid for in advance either weekly, monthly, half termly or termly. Luton Borough Council does not allow parents to accrue any debt related to school meals. The cost from April 1st 2017 is £2.00 per day or £10.00 per week.
Also, it is not possible to swop and change between a school meal and a packed lunch on a daily basis, except on Fridays when packed lunch children can have a ‘Fun Day Friday’ meal.
If you wish to change from a packed lunch to a school meal (or vice versa) we would ask that ideally you try to give the kitchen a notice period of one week wherever possible.
