Winning ways continue for the football team

Putteridge played their third fixture in the Luton School’s Premier division against St Matthew’s.


St Matthew’s started the game extremely well, dominating possession and causing the Putteridge defence problems - this resulted in an early goal for the away team with a brilliant strike.


This goal energised the Putteridge team and they had an excellent spell of possession, showing some attacking flair. Putteridge scored 4 goals in quick succession (Daniel-2 Thomas-1 and Charlie-1) and gave a fantastic first half team performance. St Matthew’s scored just before the half time whistle to set up an exciting second half.

The second half started with St Matthew’s putting the Putteridge team under pressure and having lots of the ball. Putteridge put in an excellent defensive performance, not conceding any goals and working well as a defensive unit.
