Nail-biting finish to the football season opener

Putteridge started their league season against Wigmore Primary School on 31st October.
Putteridge Team:
Callum B, Alfie P, Jack W, Jack D, Ollie P, Kayden H, Dylan G, Charlie H, Niall M & Charlie A
Putteridge started the match excellently, keeping the Wigmore team under pressure and the ball in their half. This pressure was rewarded by 2 quick goals from Jack D and Charlie A. Wigmore started to play some flowing football and scored a goal just before half time.

The second half started with Putteridge scoring a well worked goal finished off by Charlie A. With the score at 3-1, Wigmore played brilliantly and scored 2 quick fire goals to make the score 3-3 with only 5 minutes left to play. Unfortunately, Wigmore scored a goal in the final moments to win the game 4-3.
Putteridge should be very proud of their performance and have another match next week against Someries Juniors. Thank you to all of the parents who provided transport and supported the team.
