Shiver me timbers !

Ahoy there me hearties!

On Tuesday 2nd April, Key Stage 1 was invaded by 180 pirates who took over the good ship Putteridge.

Luckily, all pirates were friendly and well behaved so there was no need to walk the plank!  The pirates took part in a range of themed activities across the day.  These included making bookmarks, pirate craft, decorating biscuits and wanted posters.  The pirates also navigated a pirate obstacle course and were careful not to fall in the shark infested waters.

One of the main highlights was following clues to find the all-important treasure chest hidden somewhere around the school.  If you find the gold anywhere then please let us know.  The children have been very secretive about where they found it!

The day was rounded off with a very loud pirate sing song in the hall.  The pirates thoroughly enjoyed the day.

A massive thank you must be said to all the staff who worked so hard to ensure the day was a huge success.
