Putteridge played some excellent football throughout the opening stages, putting the Hillborough defence under pressure  and resulting in lots of shots on targets. Unfortunately, Putteridge didn’t capitalise and were unlucky not to score the opening goal of the game. Hillborough then took the lead and doubled it quickly, putting the Putteridge team 2-0 down at half time.

Half time: Putteridge 0 vs Hillborough 2

The second half started with the Putteridge team keeping up the high tempo play, and looking threatening during every attack. Putteridge finally scored their opening goal and followed that up with another. With the score at 2-2, the game came to life with both teams sharing the lead on numerous occasions. The final score was 5-5 in a brilliant attacking game of football - both teams played fantastically well and deserved to take something from the game.

Final score: Putteridge 5 vs Hillborough 5

Thank you to  all of the parents for their support. The football league will start again after Christmas with lots more fixtures to play.
