Putteridge Primary School

Equalities Mission Statement

We aim to create an effective environment for learning which will encourage all children to achieve the highest standards through:

  • the provision of a broad, balanced and imaginative curriculum
  • high expectations
  • an ethos based on respect for all individuals

We will promote the spiritual, moral, social, cultural, and physical development of the children at the school and in society, preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

To achieve this we will:

  • respect the equal human rights of our children, staff and members of the community

  • work to promote positive attitudes to disability

  • challenge stereotypes and overcome barriers to learning

  • create a environment in which everyone is respected and valued as an individual

  • comply with relevant legislation in relation to race and religious equality, disability equality, gender equality and community cohesion
